Architect sought for Dooradoyle hospital ward

[Expressions of interest by 3 July] An architect is sought to deliver a 7,750m² inpatient ward block at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle, Limerick

The four storey extension will be built above the hospital’s existing emergency department and dialysis wards which will remain open during the works.

The project is expected to feature four inpatient wards each housing 24 patient rooms and the appointed architect will be required to lead the scheme from the development of the brief up to handover.

The successful practice will also be required to act as the employer’s representative and take on fire engineering and project supervisor roles.

Quantity surveying, and civil and structural engineering services are called for in separate lots with multi-disciplinary outfits welcomed.

Expressions of interest should be returned by 3 July and can be made throught the allocated page. Selected applicants will be contacted by 31 July.
