Architect sought for Balham revamp

[PQQs to be returned by 14 September] Wandsworth Borough Council is receiving expressions of interest from architects for its Balham Outer London Fund Round 2 programme

The £1.95 million project – funded by the Mayor of London’s Outer London Fund – seeks an ‘excellent multidisciplinary design team’ to help ‘unlock an ambitious programme of improvement’ in the south London town centre.

RIBA stages A to L are called for with a wide range of works due for completion by March 2014.

Services called for include public realm design, community engagement, external lighting design, liaison with CDM, highways design and cost consultancy.

The successful team will be expected to ‘develop a powerful, overarching urban design strategy and design approach that makes all the projects in the initiative come together.’
