Architect sought for Aubin Grove train station in Perth

The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia is seeking a design team for a new £31 million train station in Perth

The Aubin Grove interchange station will feature pedestrian and cycle access alongside bus stops and a 2,000-space car park.

Passenger facilities such as toilets, escalators, stairs and lifts will also be required.

Existing rail services and the nearby Kwinana Freeway must remain operational during construction which is planned to start in 2015 and complete by late 2016.

Aubin Grove is a new suburb of Perth which was first approved eleven years ago. The new station will be located between Cockburn Central and Kwinana stations on the city’s Mandurah line.

The deadline for requests to participate is 14 August.
