Five per cent of the ‘objective selection criteria’ will be given to architectural award-winners.
The deadline for receipt of tenders is 31 August.

The University seeks an architect led design team consortia to design a 14 000 000 GBP extension to the landmark Albert Sloman Library building on its Colchester campus. The building will provide additional library space and will additionally house modern, technology rich learning spaces and a students one stop shop facility for all student services and student enquiries.
The design consortia will consist of:
Architect (lead consultant).
Building services & environmental engineer.
Structural, civil & highways engineer.
The commission will commence at RIBA stage C.
The form of contract for this appointment will be a modified GC/Works 5 (1998 edition).
The procurement route for the project will be design and build with tenders sought on RIBA stage E information. The design team will be novated to the building contractor for RIBA stages F, J, K & L.
