50Hertz launches contest to design Berlin HQ

[Requests to participate to be received by 31 August] German electricity transmission system operator 50Hertz has launched a design contest for its new Headquarters in Berlin

Eleven architecture firms will be shortlisted alongside seven pre-selected practices. Entrants must have experience in delivering projects worth at least £3.9 million.

A fund of £173,000 has been announced to cover prizes for the contest’s top entries. The competition’s official language is German.
