There used to be a Royal College of Art group called the Anti-Uglies, among them William Wilkins – descendant of the National Gallery architect. No, they weren't early pastiche-classicalists. Rather, in order to encourage good modern design, they ran protests outside crap modern architecture.

They might have had more impact had they had the current technology and theory of photon bombing aka guerrilla projection. I know I've mentioned this kind of stuff before and there's actually not a lot of theory. And the technology's not up to much either - just a laptop, a 2,500 to 4,000 lumens projector, a power socket and at least the onset of twilight.
