In search of an architectural practice movie on YouTube , it suddenly struck me that architects should use YouTube as a repository for movies of their projects and buildings. A video director mate of mine shook his head disbelievingly. And he has a point. Just because you spent five years at architecture school it doesn't mean you are likely to produce anything better than the next owner of a camcorder.
But hey, this is the era of citizen reporting and videography and podcasting and whatever so forget all that protectionist pro stuff. Maybe, though, don't send your little video essays in here. Before you don't do that, take a look at an extract from a film about Louis Kahn's work by a pro (his son Nathaniel). And if you get fed up with all the other Kahn movies in that vicinity of YourTube, here there's that Monty Python Architect sketch ...
