Astragal hears that the name Chapman Robinson – a mainstay of the Manchester architectural scene for almost a decade – is soon to disappear.

The practice, headed up by Gill Robinson (pictured), was gobbled up by Stride Treglown last year as the Bristol-based firm began spreading its tentacles beyond South West, and will become the snappily named Stride Treglown Chapman Robinson. With the arrival of new director Gordon Tero, Robinson has finally decided she'll put her feet up at the end of the year. Good for her. Bad for Astragal's Manchester party-invitation count.
