The Hellman Files #106

  • Comment

A trawl through Hellman’s archives, in which we uncover gems that are as relevant now as they were then.

This AJ cartoon (now coloured) from 06.02.85 is included in the RA’s Inside Out exhibition celebrating Baron Rogers of Riverside at 80. Socialist champagne corks (neoprene) are popping. It marks Rogers’ RIBA Gold Medal post Pompidou, Inmos and Lloyds (called the New Bowellism by unkind critics) but pre all those luxury apartments for the mega-rich.
