Some really strong contenders. I've had the pleasure of visiting both the Hepworth and One New Court, both of which were very respective of the context. I'm hesitant about the Olympic Stadium being nominated. It just seems like penance for not awarding Hopkins last year.
@Chris Dyson , the Government's already stated it's reviewing London's transport situation and it has already approved the HS link. In terms of London as a whole; the entire city has become what it is because of Urban Sprawl. The city is dictated by the markets and to have intervention from the government would be detrimental to its growth. Do we want a country defined by the economy or a country defined by socialism and totalitarian regimes?
‘But there are so many people who don’t realise what we, as architects, do. ‘I once told somebody I was an architect and they said ‘What, you clean bones?'
