Art attack

Mural painter attacks Dalston

Speaking of Dalston Mill, Astragal witnessed a bit of spontaneous community interaction at the installation – in keeping with the spirit of grass roots architecture. Attempts by an Italian mural painter to brighten up gloomy Dalston were halted when local landlord Big Joe went on the rampage from the rooftops. ‘Are you mad – okay? Not this house, mate – okay?’ shouted Joe as the artist began attacking the wall below. ‘Do you want me to come down there – okay?’ he added, moments later.
