Architects go online in search of adultery

Redundancies and three-day weeks have had an unexpected effect on the profession: it seems that British architects now use the internet to commit adultery

A press release from ‘extra-marital dating site’, entitled ‘No business, but lots of erections’, slithered into Astragal’s inbox this week. It stated: ‘As the economic crisis forces many construction projects to be put on hold, thousands of married architects and developers are seeking erections of a less industrial nature.’

The number of builders, architects and developers seeking affairs on the website has apparently increased by a third in the last six months, to more than 8,000. Pitching for new work, indeed.
