Architects design vertical farms

Chicken farms on the 12th floor of a residential block? Fields of corn on the 47th storey of a Toronto skyscraper? Welcome to the world of vertical farming.

Just weeks after the AJ revealed that green guru Ken Yeang is designing a food-producing building – or urban farm – a host of architects have revealed their designs for vertical farming.

The four projects have been compiled by www.weburbanist.com, but some are more believable than others.
