Architect needed to revamp Edinburgh Pleasance Complex

A design team is sought for the £5 million pound redevelopment of the historic Pleasance Complex in Edinburgh

The chosen architect will be expected to design a more ‘flexible and attractive’ interior layout for district’s six University of Edinburgh-owned B-listed buildings which are between 100 to 220 years-old.

The appointed team will also manage the project up to occupation and be expected to achieve a minimum of a BREEAM very good rating.

The project is due to be delivered in six phases with the contract spread over three years to reduce disruption to the university. Works are expected to begin 2015.

PQQs are available until 17 September through the university webpage. Returns are due 18 September and successful applicants will be invited on 11 November.
