Kawneer launches a first in window systems
A genuine first in commercial window systems has been launched by architectural aluminium systems supplier Kawneer.
The AA®3610LS is a vertical sliding window with a linked sash that is suitable for new-build or refurbishment projects, in particular education and health. The unique linked sash mechanism enables the window to open at the bottom and the top simultaneously in one operation. As a result, the AA®3610LS linked sash is not reliant on the occupant opening multiple vents to provide single-sided ventilation.
Single-sided ventilation enables stale air to be drawn out of the top of the window and cool, fresh air to be drawn in via the bottom.
The AA®3610LS linked sash has been successfully cycle-tested to represent more than 75 years of use, so specifiers can be sure when they choose this product that their clients’ maintenance costs will be kept to a minimum.
Excellent thermal properties are achieved by a unique polyamide break that is designed to give ultimate thermal performance and smooth operation. In addition, the AA®3610LS linked sash offers excellent weather performance - air permeability (Class 3), watertightness (Class 9A 600Pa) and resistance to windload (Class B5).
