The rich, dark sheen and hard wearing properties of Kirkstone’s Brathay Blue Black Slate made it the ideal choice for the reception area of the new Manchester College of Law.
Designed by Gaunt Francis Architects the building features a library, break out space and state of the art teaching facilities.
Brathay’s unique colouring beautifully complements the area’s warm wood and chrome aesthetic. The 1200mm x 300mm tiles were used with contrasting grouting to further complement the squared off lines and contemporary geometrical appeal. Brathay Blue Black is an English slate, quarried by Kirkstone in Cumbria.
