3DReid unveils Manchester Co-op HQ

3DReid has unveiled its proposed new head office for the Co-operative Group in Manchester

The scheme in Miller Street, opposite the Co-operative’s existing Insurance tower in the city centre, will house 32,000 sq m of open plan office space over 16 storeys.

The new headquarters represents the first phase in the Arup-led regeneration of the Group’s 8-ha site, located at the city’s Northern Gateway bounded by Miller Street and Corporation Street.

A planning application for the project is expected to be submitted to Manchester City Council in July.  Work is due to start on site early in 2010 and complete by mid-2012.
